Montana is at a crossroads, and the decisions we make today will shape the future of our communities. This election, like no other in our lifetime, presents a unique opportunity for us to come together and advocate for change that benefits all Montanans. We are fed up!! Fed up with being lied to, being the laughing stock of the world, watching our land be sold off to the highest bidder. Losing our senior right to the water on our land, seeing the protections of our air and water stripped away, and seeing the attempts to undermine our Constitutions, both State and Federal. We are now seeing a strong movement towards a more equitable and sustainable future. In this blog post, we will explore the significance of this years elections, the impact it could have on our state, and how you can get involved in this vital political movement.

Understanding The Issues We Face
My goal if elected is to address critical issues affecting our state, including environmental sustainability, economic growth, and social equity. These cover pretty much all of our current issues.
Key Objectives
Environmental Protection
I will emphasize the importance of preserving Montana's natural resources. This includes initiatives aimed at reducing pollution, protecting wildlife habitats, and promoting renewable energy sources.
Economic Development
I will develop strategies for fostering economic growth through sustainable practices. This includes supporting local businesses, creating jobs in green industries, and investing in infrastructure that benefits all Montanans.
Social Equity
I have a passion for people and a commitment to social justice. The bill seeks to ensure that all Montanans have equal access to opportunities, regardless of their background. This includes addressing disparities in education, healthcare, and employment.
Why It Matters
Here are a few reasons why supporting me, and others like me is crucial:
Protecting Our Environment
Montana is known for its breathtaking landscapes and rich biodiversity. However, these natural treasures are under threat by our own elected officials! Climate change and industrial activities are bad, but losing our right to control their emissions is an outrage! By electing citizen representatives like myself, we can take proactive steps to write legislation that will not allow BIG MONEY to come in and re-write the rules! WE will safeguard our environment for future generations.
Boosting the Economy
Investing in sustainable practices not only protects our environment but also stimulates economic growth. By supporting local businesses and encouraging the creation of jobs in green industries, I will vote to help revitalize our economy and create a more jobs! Coal is an important part of our economy, but so is wind and solar energy. Managing our resources is so important! Let's encourage loggers to use proven Best Practices to lower the fuel load in our mountains, and reduce the wildfire risk. Let's invite RESPONSIBLE companies to do business in Montana. Sometimes there more than one way to do things. Let's find a better way! Let's not cut off our nose to spite our face!
Promoting Social Justice
What is "Social Justice?" Is it "woke" to do Social Justice? Is it a "liberal" construct? NO! It's this:
Do all the good you can, (ALL the good)
By all the means you can, (with ANY thing)
In all the ways you can, (in ANY way)
In all the places you can, (EVERYWHERE you go)
At all the times you can, (EVERY single day)
To all the people you can, (To who? ALL the people)
As long as ever you can. (EVERYDAY)
How You Can Get Involved
Now that you understand what social justice is, you may be wondering how you can get involved and contribute to this movement. Here are some actionable steps you can take:
Educate Yourself and Others
Knowledge is power. Take the time to learn about the legislation working through committee and its implications for you, and for our state Government. Share this information with your friends, family, and community members. The more people understand the bills, the stronger our collective voice will be.
Attend Community Meetings
Engaging with your local community is vital. Attend town hall meetings, forums, and discussions related to the legislation that will affect us. These gatherings provide an opportunity to voice your support (or not) and connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for change.
Contact Your Representatives
Reach out to your local representatives and express your support or your disapproval. Let them know that you care about the issues addressed in the bill and that you expect them to advocate for them, not for a political party or another elected official. Personal stories and experiences can make a significant impact.
Volunteer with Advocacy Groups
Many organizations are working tirelessly to support a change in our government. To take our Capitol back for Montana, not for BIG MONEY corporations and the lining of political pockets!! Consider volunteering your time or resources to these groups. Whether it’s helping with outreach efforts, organizing events, or participating in campaigns, your involvement can make a difference. You can even join MY campaign and I would love to have you!
The Broader Impact of Political Movements
We have have the power to shape and reshape our communities and influence future generations. Here are some examples of how grassroots movements have made a difference:
The Civil Rights Movement
The Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s is a powerful example of how collective action can lead to significant change. Through protests, advocacy, and community organizing, activists fought for equal rights and dismantled systemic racism. Their efforts resulted in landmark legislation that transformed American society.
Environmental Movements
In recent decades, environmental movements have gained momentum, leading to significant policy changes aimed at protecting our planet. Initiatives like Earth Day and the fight against climate change have mobilized millions of people to advocate for sustainable practices and environmental justice.
Local Grassroots Efforts
In Montana, grassroots movements have played a crucial role in shaping local policies. From initiatives aimed at preserving public lands to campaigns for affordable housing, community members have come together to advocate for their needs and values.
The Future of Montana
As we look to the future, it is essential to recognize that the decisions we make today will have lasting consequences. Supporting me, and others like me, is a step towards a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous Montana. By joining this political movement, you are not only advocating for your community but also contributing to a legacy of positive change.
The Role of Young People
Young people have always been at the forefront of social change. Their passion, energy, and innovative ideas can drive movements forward. Encouraging youth involvement in supporting common sense politics is vital for ensuring that future generations continue to advocate for a better Montana.
Conclusion
Just like back in 1972, this represents a pivotal moment in our state's history. By supporting me and others like me, we are taking a stand. A stand for our environment, our economy, and our communities. The time to act is now. Join me and I will help you to shape a brighter future for all Montanans. Alone, we are doomed to fail. Together, we can make a difference.
Let’s rally and show our representatives that we care about the future of MONTANA. Your voice and vote matters, and your actions can lead to meaningful change. Get involved today!
